Open session

Who is doing the thinking? AI and your school.

Tuesday 17 November, 4.30pm to 5.30pm (UK time)

For teachers and leaders joining on their own.

A practical hour on what AI can and can't do in a school, how to put it to work safely, and how to keep pupils doing the thinking.

You leave with

  • A clear understanding of what today's AI does well, where it goes wrong and why, so you can judge new tools for yourself
  • School tasks AI can take on now, from planning and feedback to the admin that eats your week, and the ones to keep human
  • How to build a small tool on demand for a real classroom problem, with examples I have built for schools. The same approach lets pupils bring their own ideas to life
  • Ways for pupils to use AI that keep the thinking theirs, ready to try in your next lesson
  • Guardrails you can apply straight away: what pupil data never goes in, which tools are safe to use, and what safeguarding and exam rules ask of you
  • The briefing and the session materials, to share with your head and colleagues
