SAGE Compass
A reflective diagnostic for teachers and school leaders
The SAGE Compass is for teachers and school leaders who want to think clearly about their professional practice. Whether you are preparing for an appraisal conversation, looking to develop in a specific area, or simply taking stock of where you are right now, this tool is designed for you.
It maps your practice across four dimensions: Scholarship, the reasoning and evidence behind how you teach or lead; Agility, how you respond when things don't go to plan; Growth, how you are investing in your own development; and Empathy, how you understand and connect with the people you work with.
There are no right or wrong answers. Only honest ones. It takes around ten to fifteen minutes. At the end you will receive a personalised diagram, a written narrative, and a few coaching questions to take with you. Your results belong to you. You decide whether to share them.

How your information is used
Your name, email, and responses are stored securely by Azimuth for two purposes only: to generate your personalised narrative, and to allow us to send you a copy of your report if you request one. Your data will not be shared with anyone else, used for advertising, or passed to any third party. You can request deletion at any time by emailing hello@azimuth.org.uk.
The more you share here, the more personal your narrative will be. A recent experience, a challenge you are sitting with, something you are working toward — a sentence is useful, a paragraph is better.
